Install from the desktop browser’s web store

Extension Updates: Extensions installed from the browser’s web store typically update automatically within 24 hours after a new version is released.

Install in the Firefox Browser for Android

The steps to install the SelectTranslate extension in the Firefox Android browser are as follows:

  • Search for the Firefox browser in the Android app store and install it.
  • Open the Firefox Android browser: (1) Tap the menu button in the lower-right corner. (2) Select “Extensions”. (3) Scroll to the bottom of the Extensions Manager page and tap “Find more extensions”. (4) Enter “SelectTranslate” in the search box, then tap the SelectTranslate extension in the search results. (5) Tap “Add to Firefox” to complete the installation.

Manually install using the CRX file

  • If you cannot install the extensions from the Chrome Web Store, you can manually install SelectTranslate using the CRX file.
  • This method works with most Chromium‑based browsers, including Chrome, Edge, Opera, Brave, 360 Extreme Browser X, QQ Browser, and others.
Note: Extensions installed manually cannot receive automatic updates and must be updated manually on a regular basis.

  • To try the latest development features, you can manually install SelectTranslate using the ZIP package without waiting for store approval.

How do I update a manually installed extension?

In Chrome or any Chromium‑based browser, enter chrome://extensions in the address bar and press Enter to open the Extensions page.
